Public Sector

The public sector includes organisations such as government departments, local councils, the NHS, emergency services and the armed forces. After your GCSEs, you can enter the public sector through apprenticeships, college courses, training programmes or employment opportunities. Depending on the route chosen, you may gain qualifications ranging from Level 2 Apprenticeships through to degree-level and professional qualifications, while building a career that helps support communities and public services.
